Opera Garnier. From Napoleon III to the Phantom of the Opera
Voilà! That's Paris' most expensive building in front of you, filled with secrets, stories, geniuses and masterpieces.
The magnificent Opera House of Paris dates back to the Second Empire, the reign of Napoleon III, nephew of Napoleon Bonaparte. A dream that the emperor was not destined to see fulfilled. A masterpiece by the young architect Charles Garnier, who was not invited to the opening.
The Opéra Garnier is the pride of Paris and a luxury on the verge of ruin. Once you've seen the theatre and heard the stories about it, its workers and visitors, you'll see Paris very differently. And, of course, you'll understand why Balzac decided to use this 'palace' as the setting for his famous novel.

Answers to frequent questions
To book your favourite excursion you need to click on the button "Book an excursion", fill in the booking details and wait for confirmation. If the excursion is not available on the day and hour you have chosen, I will offer you alternative options or recommend a proven colleague.
I don't do group tours. Rarely, by exception, I may have a solo traveller join with someone. This is discussed individually. An alternative to group excursions are art breakfasts. Resuming in spring 2023.
There are no discounts on guided tours. I work officially at the average rate for guides in Paris and the Ile-de-France region. If you book more than one tour, I will be happy to pick up restaurants and leisure options for you as a bonus.
Yes. The possibility of rescheduling excursions depends on the free time in my schedule. I always try to accommodate you to make your holiday as comfortable as possible.
Yes, a deposit of €50 is required for each booking. You can cancel the tour and return the deposit at least 48 hours before the set date.
Payment via PayPal is only possible BEFORE the tour. When paying, select the 'transfer to a friend' option. This guarantees payment of the full price without deduction of the system fee.
