A Moveable Feast
Ernest Hemingway once wrote: “Paris is a moveable feast.” This is how the image of the city was born, an image that still lives in our imagination today.

We will travel back to Paris in the 1920s, a time of artists, writers, and endless conversations in cafés. This was the era of Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Gertrude Stein, James Joyce, and Pablo Picasso.

During our walk, we will see where the young Hemingway lived and worked. We will stroll along Rue Mouffetard, a street that has hardly changed in a hundred years, and find his first apartment. We will see the house where the writer lived later, as well as the square with a quiet garden and church that he especially loved.

We will talk about Gertrude Stein’s legendary salon, where artistic Paris used to gather, and the famous Shakespeare and Company bookshop, where Hemingway borrowed books during his penniless years.

Crossing the Left Bank of the Seine, we will follow in the footsteps of the young writer and try to feel the atmosphere of the Paris he once fell in love with. Perhaps this is where you, too, will rediscover the city.
