Unknown Paris
Would you like to discover a Paris that rarely appears in guidebooks? Quiet, atmospheric, full of stories and discoveries. A Paris of old streets, hidden courtyards, and legends that live behind discreet façades.

The Left Bank is one of Parisians’ favourite areas. This is where the history of the city began, where the Romans built their Lutetia, and where, centuries later, universities, monasteries, and houses appeared in which bohemian culture was born.

During our walk, we will talk about where Paris began and what remains of the Roman city. We will discover what traces the Knights Templar left in the capital and why the owner of one of the most luxurious palaces in Paris died in poverty.

We will recall the age of the musketeers, step into the oldest café in Paris, and see a relic that its owner keeps under armoured glass. We will find a hidden church that survived the French Revolution and talk about the Paris of writers, artists, and philosophers.

It was here, at café tables, that Vian and Sartre wrote, Picasso and Rivera met, and the Surrealists argued.

The Left Bank is the Paris of terraces, structuralists, and lively conversations late into the night.
